COLD vs. "cold"

May I remind y'all of the coffee gelato 'naughty point'
I consumed in sub-zero temps on NYE?

Heard earlier today at the beach:

"OMG! It's soooooo cold!"

"Bust out the sweatshirts!"
"It's gonna snow!"

Yeah, it was so "cold" last night that I had to sleep with a top sheet!
